the hum sound on both sides is not dominant but you will notice it straight away on the start and end of both sides, when there is no music playing. Each 65 stereo RVG has it and I really though it will impact my listening experience, but it doesnt.... See full review

this LP doesnt do justice to the whole session. Its missing best tracks of this album Flick of a Trick and Very Saxily Yours. Still a great record but definetly not complete. Shame on BN and latest Music Matters reissue because bonus tracks are far... See full review

well this is clearly not the case, its pumped in order to hear Hill piano better because its somewhere in the background on this recording, typical for RVG. Album sounds ok to my ear, typical TP but its not a great recording in terms of pure quality.... See full review

I had to get a replacement which is perfect on both sides, no issues, great sound ect. but my 1st copy was scratched (very audible) and had some non fill issues on side A. last track. dont like to play this roulette with new records!

Amazing album from start to finish, it really has soul in it, all compositions are wonderful. Does make you walk the streets of Chicago from the 50s. John Wright was such an underrated piano artist.

I had listened to this album on my headphones for my second time. I was in the woods near the lake, complete solitude in the nature, with high reeds swinging to a gentle, warm breeze. I sat on a fallen tree and got hypnotised by this view. By the time... See full review

masterpiece or overhype - so typical for tone poet series. This is a very simple hard bop, tons of records in this era where made like this, how is this particular album a masterpiece? nothing revolutionary here, few standards, few good compositions by... See full review

tone poet overhype train and kevins gray overall work on these albums... this ear piercing album sounds good but not amazing for sure, you can barely hear cecil mcbee bass and he has few minor solos as well. as for the album itself the annoying long... See full review

this SQ version played on stereo has much much better sound and details than japan 79r stereo release (36AP), which I didnt enjoy at all. Here you have all the proper drum and rattles sharp sound not disturbed by any other instrument in the front and... See full review

which is a definition of a bootleg! most charlie mingus recordings are bootlegs, official ones are charles mingus, they also changed the names of other players like that!

this is really an average sounding mix which says a lot about community ratings that tends to rate the music not the release quality. vinyl is fine but you wont find many details or a proper punch on this pressing. I dont feel the drums in here,... See full review

I had a BN 75 series before this. Kings reissue just blows it out of the water, the difference is not subtle, its HUGE. Suddenly this album feels alive, The baseline has a lot of punch and the drums and brushes are just so much more sharp. Lee Morgans... See full review

John was definately not a very good flute player, his very basic so this 16 min track is bit too much but Alice solo is amazing. If you want to hear some great flute crazy improvisations go and listen to Sam Rivers. still Expressions is a very good... See full review
