I am very slowly (VERY) going through my collection of ~1000 records (and always being expanded), adding to existing discogs releases or adding new ones as I go.

Let me know about any mistakes I make (kindly); if I don't respond, message me, I sometimes have to spend periods of time away from 'civilization'/access to my records/access to internet for my job, so I might not always respond immediately.

Runout Masterlist, very helpful -

Not sure about this album, but my copy of Count Five - Psychotic Reaction by the same company is very excellent. I have both mono & stereo versions of the original (Turn On) The Music Machine & I feel like the stereo is generally a better mix & I usually prefer mono.

This is cool, but Nancy doesn't really hold a candle to the actual British girl singers. Version of Wishin' & Hopin' is pretty underwhelming if you've heard Dusty's version - God save whoever thought that was a good idea.

Awesome, but seriously what on god's green jumpin' sphere is up with mid-1960's Tower Records stereo mixes, they are always super weird (see the Spotlight on Nilsson one too)? Capitol Stereos are usually fairly normal. I guess this is real stereo,... See full review

Incredible album, truly blew my mind when I first heard it, listened to it several times in a row. Love the mono version, but I actually think I like the stereo version more, which is unusual for me & 60's stuff. Stereo is real stereo (or at least... See full review

Omg, I love the faint barking dog in the background on "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat." Wonderfully spontaneous album from two of the greatest folk guitarists.

Yes basically, but missing track B4: "Night Life" Switched all of them to compilation, but maybe should move to Willie Nelson - Live Country Music Concert. Should bring up in forum?

Umm... How is having some tracks from Five Live a 'ripoff' when that album was not released in the US market until the early 1970's? Maybe it was a bit lazy on part of Epic records, but that material was totally new material in the US at the time -... See full review

Good backing music ruined by horrible shouting off key vocals. What a waste.

Wow, Fairweather-Low is an extremely bad singer. Imagine a Chris Farlowe, but without the powerful voice, virtuosity of tone, & who basically just shouts everything slightly off key. What a waste, as the backing band seems pretty good. Vocals are... See full review

A very good album. One of the albums I give to people trying to convince them that Country music is not so bad (Generally of symptom of Americans=uneducated hicks=Country music attitude in UK and full blown classism in the USA.)

That or a particularly ham-fisted 'fake-stereo-isation' aka 'reprocessed for stereo' of original mono.

I think it might be that way because initially Columbia did not press many copies as they did not think the record would sell much more than a typical classical recording (which is not much). But it ended up being a huge hit, so Columbia had to press... See full review

Actually now that I think about it, Machines has a very similar quality in that is seems to push right up to the boundary between 'normal' and 'not normal' music. It is not like the Velvet Underground or something, that clearly passes over that... See full review

Quoting marcelrecords' review: '...this album makes for uneasy listening' - guess that is why I like it so much. It is very 'claustrophobic', or really, claustrophilic! I enjoy how they pulled off such a purposefully obtuse album, without being... See full review

Okay I guess, I appreciate what they are trying to do, but ends up coming off rather incoherent. That being said, I am not a fan of beat poetry, or beat anything really (I really can't stand Kerouac or Ginberg, et alia), and this is definitely... See full review

I cannot find any reference to The Wrecking Crew performing on any of The Byrds material except their Mr. Tambourine Man single (not the album, except that track). I have no idea where you got the idea that they performed on 'Eight Miles High.'

Excellent comp. Cool that they put in one disc too (Todd Rundgren-esque). Only wish it also had 'I Won't Let It 'Appen Agen' too.
