The influences inbetween these artists are non-linear. Also there are many more producing along the same feelings of style and taste.

The early days are where it's at. Dexter, Fastgraph and Mesak. Not sure what happened after that.

This pressing is strikingly much better then the 2020 repress.

Picked up the seven inch in 1985 from a local record shop. Dug it because it was creative and hard but not hard rock. Also Billy Duffy is on guitar and performed very well on Theatre of Hate before. In fact i plugged it in the local disco, next week... See full review

The guy who put up the files a decade and a half ago on internet had a good laugh. Eq'ed, worked and pitched. This release shows how it really sounds without DJ skills. When properly addressed this release is a killer.

If the record is good it might be that the needle is dirty or worn. Try cleaning the needle with specialized tools and fluids. Or try a different needle. Also check your cables.

They might have recorded the album to DAT (Digital Audio Tape) at the time. Then it depends on the ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) which quality is acquired. If Global Communication used a high quality DAT recorder that might be the reason why it... See full review

This recording is not a copy. Gerald Donald was not part of The Other People Place.

Again play on any rpm you want. I'd recommend playing the Garbagemx at 45 rpm.

Use the eq and pitch control. It's a DJ record. Not for easy listening.

Lots of people just dislike this record because the previous ones are groundbreaking. And stupidly those are not even recognized. God***8it. Yeah. Metal Dance is however a solid track, fitting in the 80ties. This album is a solid release with a couple... See full review

It's either that Ronald and Ferenc know each other very well, maybe because of the small electro scene in NL or they are the same.

Copying is something we don't agree on. Expressing yourself because you are inspired by someone is evolving into a paradigm.

Sometimes it takes a while for me to understand creative outings. E.M.S. is not far off from the usual path, so it seems. But then i realized after a while E.M.S. is ahead in the musical department.

Clearly you were not alive (or spoiled to bits) when this compilation was released. This release made these bands known to people who couldn't listen to them in 1988 before. The emotional connection is also very important.

Took me three decades to play this record at home. Since i heard the 808 programming on cassette at first i was heavily impressed. The synths and vocals just finish the dark mood perfectly. On top of that The Klinik produce an excellent audio mix. The... See full review

Goth, Industrial, Indie. These terms were not affiliated with music in 1985. Back then the umbrella was New Wave.

In the middle eighties Miami and the greater Detroit area created a somewhat similar style in electro techno music. However these cultures were not connected at the time.

Interesting springs to my mind upon first listen. Definitely rings a bell from previous productions by some well known artists in this style, yet the release differs in its approach. Four to the floor is the basis as opposed to syncopated beats. ... See full review
