I agree, I would buy that for sure. And vinyl is nice, but I would also like a proper CD release, provided they don't go nuts with digitally remastering it. In fact, don't do anything else to it: Just reissue it on the various formats available.

Does anyone know if there's a vinyl release of this?

Alex Patterson's set begins with what sounds like 'the Solti Ring,' a legendary recording of Wagner's famous work, the Ring Cycle.

This is trance sedated acid house with integrity; Frankfort style. There are rolling basslines, bubbly funky riffs, and sublime reverb drenched oddities.

You will hear the occasional M1 organ or piano that's characteristic of house from this era and... See full review

This is a compilation in name only. Every track is written by Kim, Don, and Paul, and most of the artists are exclusive to this release; making this more or less the first Spice Barons album... And what an album it is! If you like Future Perfect... See full review

'Audio' is a hidden gem among Tetsu Inoue's collaborative work. As the artwork suggests, this is very much a spiritual successor to World Receiver, and could pass for World Receiver 2.

The environmental ambient concept is furthered here: each track... See full review

This album begins like the Heavenly Music Corporation, but ends more like Arial Service Area 2 150 gram space weight, before taking a brief turn back into Silent territory as deeper than Love heads toward the 10 minute mark. The end of the album is my... See full review

7 of the 12 tracks here - the instrumentals - are quite good, and worth the price of admission for me. I really wish they had distilled these 7: Sunburst, Altitude, Fractal Liaison, Thunderdog, Listen, Miracle, and Over and out to a 7 track EP...... See full review

I'm surprised to see there are so few reviews on the Banco de Gaia main page! Toby, Andy & co. are one of the strongest limbs of Planet Dog Records, along with Eat Static, Timeshard, and to a lesser extent Children of the Bong. Banco de Gaia is also... See full review

I was hesitant to get this at first, but I'm really glad I took the chance. It plays like a mini album, and has a lot to offer. All of the remixes are strong, and very different from each other.

When it comes to the original track, an oxbow lake is... See full review

I love it.

The rhythm section on dead planet disc one was almost too close to a garden variety psytrance rythm section to really do the eat static sound justice. On this album, all things considered, they nailed it. This is more like the way I was... See full review

I agree about the quality of the latter half, and I actually think Gates Does Windows is an excellent track, though it's more of an ambient interlude to the next 2 songs than a fully developed song in itself. I get a very nice sublime feeling from it... See full review

I wish Kai was included with this single! Then if you have the limited edition, this would be all you would need to get the full set of tracks. But hey, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

This is a great album, although the only downside is just how many samples it contains that were used by other artists; most notably by the Future Sound of London / Amorphous Androgynous. As the album nears the halfway mark, almost every song until... See full review

If anyone's listening this compared to the High Society press, do the bass drum and the background effects sound like they're taking up a lot of energy in the mix, maybe robbing the high hats and melodies of some energy that would otherwise make the... See full review

I have this original edition as well as the 2000 re-release, and it sounds like they cleaned the album up on the 2000 re-release. The original sounds like it has more vinyl artifacts... Some tracks sound grungier than others, but the whole album... See full review

I. The Context

This is by no means the strongest edition of the Platipus Records compilations, but it’s not the weakest either. The art work and visual design on this album is stunning: perhaps my favorite in the series. There is also a very robust... See full review
