First and foremost, I am a music collector. Vinyl just happens to be, in my opinion, the best way to consume music (aside from seeing it performed live). As such, I am not a "completionist" in the strictest sense of the word. I am not motivated to acquire all the color variants of a release; however, I am interested in collecting complete catalogs for some of my favorite artists. In other words, I'm generally only interested in adding releases that are not redundant, in terms of the content of their track lists, with a release already in my collection.

To some extent, my musical tastes follow two distinct paths. While much of the vinyl I have accrued fits squarely in post-punk/post-grunge/alternative/indie rock genre (or whatever else you may choose to label it), I also collect some thrash metal, death metal, and grindcore as well. In addition to collecting vinyl, I'm also on the lookout for concert posters (prints & original screen prints), particularly for some of the shows I've seen over the years (see non-exhaustive list).
