BALISTIK KICK is a current hard-rock band emerging from Bayonne, NY. Mike MARINO (Guitar), Mike PARADINE (Drums), Vinne VALDES (Bass) and Joe ADRIGNOLA (Vocals) are bringing back a powerful and energetic music, as it was performed in the Eighties. If you like classic M™TLEY CRšE or IRON MAIDEN, you'll absolutely love this group ! The rhythm section is exceptionally tight and vocals are extremely melodic, which are the evidence that this band has rare skills. Their third album, "Destroy", has been recorded in 1999 on the Brennus Thundering International label. Not to be missed !

Slug (6) - The Out Sound as reviewed by BankofVinyl

July 24, 2014
The Out Sound opens with a simple snare/hi-hat/kick drum beat that suddenly slows down, then speeds up again, before any other instruments join in. It's precisely that type of off-kilter manner that Slug's first album privileges over all other sensibilities. Melodically driven by bass guitar, with the other basses -- yes, Slug employed two or more basses at all times -- and guitar providing a wall of shimmering, white noise sound behind it, The Out Sound lives up to it's name in many ways. This is an out there sound, and by no means did it ever achieve commercial success, however one may define that. Nothing if not avant and exploratory, The Out Sound, though ostensibly a noise rock album in the same vein as Distorted Pony or the more straight-ahead Cherubs, Slug was also at times almost indefensibly artsy, using lengthy sections of found conversation or audio samples as incongruent segues, or as alternate instrumental forms. But The Out Sound is an interesting, provocative listen; often as ambient and ethereal as it is harsh and punishing.

Obscure and really very well crafted project from the members of the popgroup Freeez (John Rocca voice/percussion, Andy Stennett synths), but now on the EG Records label. Heavily electronic, layered, dark and experimental music with moody and disturbing lyrics, that are printed on the backside. The mood ranges from suppressed agression to twisted sweetness. When used, the manually played electronic drums sound really cold and harsh. All in all a record that never bores, and sucks you in each time.

When used, the manually played electronic drums sound really cold and harsh. All in all a record that never bores, and sucks you in each time. from

Después vuelve a Madrid. Stevie Nicks - The Other Side Of The Mirror as reviewed by BankofVinyl

April 29, 2012
I wouldn't usually write a review, but this CD really changed my life. The song "Juliet" helped me make a very important decision...when i needed help.

The poetry here...the sound...the songs. This album is Nick's masterpiece. No Tom Petty here to carry the day. I feel like Stevie really opened up her diary for this one... And i really love "Doing the Best I Can." That song is right up there in the masterpiece bracket along with "beauty and the beast" and "storms"
