Where the hell is the Blu Ray, already?? My collection is begging for it. This is the only Depeche Mode album with no 5.1....well, yet.

In my opinion the best album from DM in years. Also drops the f word. First time if I'm not mistaken.

Should we waste our time on the last DM's album if it was not DM ? Of course NOT.

I'm surprised not a lot of people have commented on the quality of this vinyl release. This is exactly what I want out of a record. Ive spent $30 for far less before. The gatefold cover is excellent but what I really like is the double inner sleeve. The main printed inner sleeve also contains a removable poly lining that is excellent if you store your records outside the cover so you don't risk ripping the gloss paper outer sleeves when removing them, you can just leave them housed in the cover. It feels like someone put some thought into trying to make a quality product. My vinyl is pressed well, quiet and center and it was static free right out of the box. The mastering quality is good. It's not mind blowing, but some of the sub sounds they use definitely make the speakers hit. The record sounds pretty darn good if you ask me tho. I'm a new Depeche Mode fan, have only really listened to Some Great Reward and Violator, both which I love so I decided to buy this new album. I really like it. I definitely wouldn't call it synth pop, it's definitely rock music with heavy electronic instrumentation. I think it sounds excellent. As far as pop oriented electronic music goes, Depeche Mode are the kings. Their music comes alive, is expansive and has an emotional dynamic I don't hear much in electronic oriented music. I enjoy it. It's worth a listen. 🤘🏽

Interesting effort with the same mistakes that may have come from management or producer, as it happened with previous 5 albums. An album that will split the fan base - half will love it, half will hate it. There will be no consensus. It's a love-and-hate relationship album. Less melodic than anything I ever heard from Depeche Mode. The savers here are tracks 1, 2, 4, 8 and 11. The Jungle Spirit Mixes are enjoyable, but the lack of creativity didn't place any new golden song into the bonus disc. The real relief in this album is that it has a different approach than producer Ben Hillier used, the guy who produced the past 3 Depeche Mode records. Here you get loads of cymbals, real acoustic drums, electric bass, less analog synths and more guitars. This is quite a relief. But in my opinion, not yet even close to Violator – and yes, you will hate me for saying that.

Thank you Depeche Mode. Been waiting a while for top shelf material. Number 5 pushes it there.

So much better than the last three albums. Depeche Mode haven't said their last word yet!
