While I agree with nearly every aspect of jadedtom's review on Electric Ladyland, I must try to understand why theres no mention of Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) which is the last track on this release and features some "Alien" form of guitar playing, which is the only way I can describe it since I've never heard anything else like it other than maybe Purple Haze recorded about a year before. Undoubtedly, Axis and Are u exp. are much better albums but his "jamming" on Voodoo Chile (slight return) is such a high form of art which transcends anything except maybe a handful of musicians or artists, in general, have ever reached. That track alone is worthy of high praise and coupling that with watchtower and midnight lamp instantly makes it better than most other "sh!t" you will find on other "rock 'n' roll" albums. When you put his short time on this Earth into context could you really fault Hendrix, The Experience, Polydor records, Chas Chandler/ management or even the lovely ladies on the album cover for wanting to "Indulge?"

Hello,

I Also own a copy of 2657 012, but it does not have the green glow, but it has a darker cover. If you look at the cover you can see to much green is used that makes the cover darker. But my question, can I count my copy as a misprint or not?
