I don’t often comment on pressings, but I have to speak up and praise this one. Was a bit sceptical about buying a coloured vinyl but I have to say this is fantastic; quiet, good dynamics, very enveloping sound. They have got this one bang on. Great mastering and well done to Masterdisk for getting this right. The music Is great too, their best since the collaboration with Ghostface killer. The previous comments about bad pressings do not represent this pressing imo.

Bad, bad, not good accurately describes how my copy sounds! I really dig this album and listened to it through streaming, so when I saw a copy at the local record store, I scooped it up. Got it home and immediately noticed dings around the spindle hole to the point that the label was worn in that area. Records were both crazy dirty and the sound was shit. I cleaned it twice, and it still pops and clicks like a mother... Volume seems low as well. Just not a good pressing. Being newer to vinyl collecting, this was the most I spent on a record to date, and unfortunately, this is a worst sounding record I have. Disappointed as I do like the music.. online!

My copy sounds amazing. I had to deep clean some residue off before playing though. The bass sounds so big and pumping! I guess that’s why some of you guys were complaining about skipping. Maybe? Try better tracking phono cartridges or upgrading the table into something that allows you to adjust tracking force might help.

My copy had bad distortion on the right channel at the beginning of the first track. I tested it on multiple systems. Sent it back…

Side A starts with so much noise the needle flys off the record. Ticks the last minute and the last track stops short. Side B some ticks. C & D seem ok. XL Recordings pressings are very unreliable in my experience.

BBNG’s best album in my opinion.
Stunning music and arrangements. Can’t wait to catch them live in 2022.

The artwork and sleeve is just horrible though. Especially the printed PVC sleeve - what a mess!

Definitely be careful when taking the gatefold jacket out of the PVC sleeve. It's not the strongest and the PVC outer sleeve on my copy already has a small tear. Aside from that, great pressing! No excessive surface noise on my copy.

I was hearing a lot of crackles and pops even after cleaning on the first listen... the records almost look like a white marble and they gave up halfway through... my outer sleeve was terribly wrinkled too and I had to use a heat gun to get the wrinkles out and also used googone to get the sticker seal residue off. Just take the records out and put some cardboard in. Other than the packaging the music is really good so it makes up for it the DIY aspect lol

My copy sounds great.
I've been a fan since BBNG1 and even have one of the crappy sounding original pressings of BBNG2! Superb sound on this one.

Musically I think this is their best stuff since BBNG1/2 days.
