MC5

Profile:
The MC5 (Motor City Five) was a hard rock band that formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1964. In 1968, the band relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, and following a performance at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Elektra Records A&R man Danny Fields signed them to Elektra Records. Their overtly political, anti-establishment stance stymied more widespread acceptance outside of the American Rust Belt and likely played a role in Elektra dropping them in 1969. The group then signed with Atlantic Records and released two more albums before disbanding.

Best rock band that ever existed..PERIOD. Brother Tyner (RIP) was the most charismatic frontman during the 60´s and 70´s. Not to forget Wayne Kramer who also is an amazing guitarist that i would rank up there with Angus, Hendrix and the other legends. Not to mention, Kramer was a physical firecracker on stage as well just like Angus. Together this band formed a dynamite act on stage and laid down the foundation of punk to the world, and scared the shit out of their audience with it in the process.. Pure rock n roll. MC5 or the Stooges? Dont want to argue..
Detroit is were it happen, and still is. "The D is nuttin to fuk wid.."
